Description: Under this on-call IDIQ project, Endesco is assisting WSP and WMATA in providing assistance to review, evaluate, and comment on conceptual design/plans related to parking operations and structures; pedestrian/bicycle equipment and facilities; equipment and traffic configurations; access to roadway networks; vehicle and pedestrian access structures, or other multi-modal access programs. The work includes to investigate and analyze traffic safety and design problems, and develop effective solutions, recommend revisions to design standards to alleviate design problems, support the design and coordination of plan preparations and approvals, and perform other duties as assigned. Recent tasks include analyzing parking requirements and bus-bay utilization, and recommendations for improving connectivity between Washington Metropolitan (Metro) and Maryland Area Regional Commuter (MARC) train services at multiple rail stations including Greenbelt, West Hyattsville, Braddock stations. Work also included to use ArcGIS for transportation analysis and mapping for bike sheds, pedestrian sheds, bike and pedestrian travel times, bus route times, home based trip analysis, etc.
