Description: We performed the noise study for Ellerslie, LLC., who proposed to develop the property located in the northeast quadrant of U.S. 301 and Chew Road in Prince George’s County, Maryland, as a residential development. U.S. 301 is planned to be widened along with a service road. This study was commissioned to project the noise levels on the site after the roadway improvement. The existing noise levels were monitored using a B&K Sound level meter. The traffic was projected to the next ten years and the STAMINA model was used to predict noise levels on the property adjacent to the proposed residential units. The 65 dBA Ldn noise contour was developed, showing minimum noise impact.
