Description: As a subconsultant of Ricondo, we provide the following services:
- Traffic data collection. Collecting key location traffic counts to determine peak days / peak hours; developing traffic data collection plan; performing traffic counts (including video, tubes, and manual data collection) at airport entry/exit roadways, nearby intersections, departure/arrival curbs, parking lots, ground transportation center, rental car returns, TNC (transportation network companies), recirculation roadways, etc; capturing traffic counts, class, speeds, dwell times, routing, etc.
- VISSIM traffic simulation model development for the base case situations. Developing four (4) VISSIM models for the peak hours (AM, PM, departure, arrival) of the airport for future use of operational analysis. Work includes to build simulation models for the entire airport landside network including nearby intersections, entry/exit ramps, roadways approaching terminals and parking facilities, transit / TNC vehicle exclusive roadways, parking entries, departure/arrival curbs, recirculation roadway, and all other links/connectors; code all applicable vehicle classes including passenger vehicles, transit buses, TNC, service vehicles, hotel shuttles, etc.; calibrate the models to reasonably match field observations and field-collected traffic data including speeds, volumes, travel times, queueing, etc.
- Develop technical report for the work performed.
