Description: In this Public-Private-Partnership (P3) Design-Build project to build a 16-mile light rail system connecting major urban centers in the north Washington D.C. metro area, Endesco designed BMP facilities such as bio-retentions, sand filters, micro-bio-retentions for stormwater quality and quantity management to fit in the extremely confined public right of way. Endesco also designed complicated multiple-phased erosion and sediment control strategies that integrate with the construction of light rail system and associated demolition and rebuilding of affected buildings, parking lots and trail. Endesco also performed design services for 100+ set of traffic signals, miles of roadway lighting, pavement marking & signage, WMATA station lighting, UMCP campus lighting, as well as roadway and site development for the project.
